Sonic Dash 2 Review | An Exciting Endless Runner Game from SEGA

sonic dash 2 review

Sonic the Hedgehog is one of the most popular characters from SEGA. After having succeeded in the first Sonic Dash on iOS and Android, SEGA has launched the latest version of this 3D endless runner game into a new package. Lots of new things and features will be found in this game. Now, if you want to know more about this exciting game, let us check out our Sonic Dash 2 review.

Like many endless runner games and its predecessor Sonic Dash, this game has no much difference. The main goal is still the same where we just need to run and survive as long as we can while avoiding the obstacles and defeating the enemies by changing the line to the left or right, jumping, or spinning. Collecting Rings and Orbs during the process is also something that we will do in this game.

Sonic is the first character that we will use in the beginning but, we can unlock the rest of his friends like Amy, Knuckles, Tails, and Sticks throughout the game. After we have unlocked them, we can change our character and use them to play. And when we have more characters available, we can try the Team-Play mode where we can bring up to three characters in one single game.

Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom has a lot of new features than its predecessor. The new features that this game has made it more interesting and better than its predecessor.

Single and Team-Play Mode

If in the previous version we can only play one character in a single race, here, we can play up to three characters at once. As I have told before in the gameplay section, we can try this one after we have unlocked some new characters. This feature is still new because it is not available in the previous version.

New Special Powers

Special powers are the items that we can find during the race and they will help us a lot. In this game, there are some of the new ones such as Sonic’s Ring Magnet, Knuckles’ Slam, Amy’s Ring Hammer, and much more.

New Obstacles

Here, we will also find some new obstacles and Badniks (the enemies that we have to face during the race). The obstacles and the enemies in this version will be more challenging to beat up than before.

Swing and Tilt Gameplay

On the previous version, we just running and swiping the screen to avoid obstacles and survive as long as possible. Now, there is a new gameplay where we have to tilt our devices in order to swing the runner towards the Rings and Orbs.

We can say that the graphics of this game are quite impressive. It uses 3D graphics that are very smooth and detail. Also, it becomes better with the use of sharp and colorful colors that will make the players are willing to play it for hours.

The Goods

  • A great endless runner game from every aspect.
  • Good graphics.
  • Quite addictive.
  • New features added.

The Bads

  • Overall, it is just the same with the other games in the same genre.
